Made to house our full ranges of RGBW, RGB and RGB LED Pixel Tape as well as both of our single colour and dual colour LED strip lights, thanks to the wide internal width of 13mm.
Being wider internally, you will be able to mount nearly all LED tape allowing for installation in a wide range of areas such as ornamental outdoor lighting and commercial installations.
Like the 1m and 2m Recessed aluminium profiles, this Wide Aluminium profile doesn't come with any mounting brackets due to the design. They do, however, have their own end caps.
Install Your LED Strip Lights Properly And Give Them The Right Finish
Despite not having mounting brackets, like all of our Aluminium profiles, you have the option buy the profile either with or without a diffuser. The available diffusers come in either a clear or a frosted effect.
Both diffusers offer added physical protection to the LED strips, however due to the effect of each diffuser, the effects that are achieved are greatly different. The clear diffuser offers no diffusion of light and is mainly used in areas where the strip lights cannot be seen such as under cabinet and under plinth lighting.
Distinctively different from the clear diffuser, the frosted diffuser offers a lot better diffusion. The frosted cover makes for a fuller look on the profiles. This makes it a lot better for installations where the strips are visible like decking lights or can be seen indirectly such as commercial, under counter lighting.
Keep Your Strips For Longer And Longer
Even though the Aluminium profiles are primarily used for the tangible and visual qualities they possess, they also come with a second intangible quality.
Being made from Aluminium, they dissipate heat very effectively. This means that, despite the already long lifespan, the LED strips that have been mounted into them can have their life extended by up to 50%.
