Strip Tape Jargon Explained

Shopping for any kind of LED Strip Tape can be daunting when you come across confusing jargon. We've decided to decode a few tricky terms, so you feel comfortable whilst you shop.

Surface-Mounted Diodes (SMD) are a particular type of LED that can be placed directly onto the surface of a circuit board. They can emit light with a very wide beam angle, produce high quality light and also create more colours.

Colour Temperature is the perceived warmth of the illumination the lower the rating, the warmer the light. Measured in Kelvin (K), this is a scale of whether the light has a yellow or blue undertone. The two main differentiations are Cool White (6000K) and Warm White (3000K). Cool White has an icier and sharper look of a true white whereas, Warm White is much softer and looks yellow.

Our Cutting Service

Being one of the only LED lighting companies in the UK to offer a bespoke cutting service, our in-house team can cut and solder your strips to any specifications. It is then glued for a water-tight finish and carefully delivered to your door.

Simply call in today for a personalised quote, with all the specific measurements. Please be informed that this tape can be cut every 10cm and each cut will be from £5.99, including the end caps. Remember that all LED Neon Tape is priced per metre.

As standard 10cm tails will be added to your tape, and any longer length will be supplied separately. We can advise you of which connectors will complete your installation if you contact a member of our team.

Please be informed that all custom LED Neon Strips can take up to 7-days extra before being shipped out. If you require them sooner, please contact a member of our team.

Please note that the NeoGlow tape has a maximum run length of 5m, and the lengths you specify have a variance of up to 5cm, so please allow for this when measuring your requirements.
