Cnect Solderless Heat Shrink Connector

If you need to wire cables together but don't have access to a soldering gun, don't panic! With the Cnect Solderless Heat Shrink Connector, you'll still be able to accomplish some great DIY projects without needing to shell out for an expensive piece of equipment.

You can order 10, 20, 50 or 100 connectors in bulk, as per the options at the top of this page - so say you order two lots of 50 connectors, you'll get 100 connectors dispatched out to you, in which case it would work out more cost effective to simply purchase the 100 pack. How Does It Work?

Inside the connector, you will see a small clump of grey. This is the solder! Next to that there should be some red, which is silicone.

Firstly, you need to strip the wire as you normally would, same as in any ordinary soldering job.

Then you place the two wires into opposite ends of the connector, sliding them in as far as they'll go. After this you'll need to apply heat to the centre of the connector. Ideally, this should be done with a heat gun.

You'll see the connecter shrink, wrapping around the wires and sealing it! Then the solder will melt and join the whole thing together.

While this connector can be used just about anywhere you need to wire two things together, it really shines when used with our various LED strip tapes. We offer a bespoke cutting service, but there's nothing stopping you from doing this at home, especially if you have these connectors.
