This OptimX 150W 12V AC/DC Power Adapter is a plug-and-play transformer from industry giants, Mirrorstone.

With a maximum load of a huge 150W, it will plug straight into your 240W mains input and step down the power to be compatible with our 12V DC strips. Perfect for all indoor installations, domestic or commercial, it comes with durable black plastic casing.

Please bear in mind that this adapter cannot be used in splash zones, like a bathroom, but works wonders in living rooms, bedroom and kitchens.

Power Supplies Explained

An LED Driver, sometimes called a transformer or power supply, is a power supply unit that matches its output to the voltage and current requirements of the device it serves. It takes your mains electricity supply and steps it down to the 12V DC that is compatible with LED Strip Lights.

When shopping, you will need to consider the power outlet you're using and the wattage of your LED Tape. It is important to leave around 10% of wattage leeway to not overload the driver.

Our 12V tape that can pair with this driver includes Single Colour, RGB, Dual Colour and Pixel Tape.

With this 150W OptimX driver, you will be able to power approximately:

• 28m of 8W LED Tape = 134.4W
• 75m of 7.2W LED Tape = 135W
• 14m of 6W LED Tape = 134.4W

Don't forget to finish your tape installation with an Aluminium Profile, the perfect Controller and other Accessories for a professional look that makes the most out of the installation.
